The Inn at Graybarns – Norwalk CT

In need of a quick getaway, we retreated to the Graybarn Inn, a haven of refuge in Norwalk, CT.

This 6 room 5* property was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy relaxation, a quiet escape and delicious food.

I contacted the property to tell them we would be arriving early though the room would not be ready.  We looked around the property including the Tavern Restaurant and Mercantile, sat in rocking chairs on their front porch with some coffee, and then explored the area with the Priority bikes, getting in some exercise.

After our ride, we enjoyed lunch at the onsite restaurant and even opened up a bottle of wine from the all inclusive “mini” bar in our room. Next, we napped and relaxed with in-room massages.  Exactly the afternoon that new parents need!

Next, we headed to dinner at the Tavern where the vibes was buzzing.  It is definitely a local 5* dining spot. We loved that the staff remembered us from lunch and were very attentive.  In house guests will receive priority reservations but I do suggest making them upon check-in or when booking your stay.

Overall, we had a fabulous stay at this boutique, 5* property in the middle of nature and away from the city lights. If you are looking for a quick escpae to luxury, I highly recommend Graybarns.
