I discovered Chaise Fitness just months after their opening (several years ago). As a former dancer and Pilates fan, I love the use of the Pilates chair and bungees from the ceiling – giving you a full body workout. Chaise blends Pilates with Ballet in their patented Reinvention Method. Their 3 for $33 new client special is a great way to get acquainted with their workout.

travelfitLOVE: This studio is like no other in New York City. If you like Pilates but want something a little more active, it is worth checking out. It is a great option for arm or leg sculpting and their multiple locations should make it convenient for someone to try. They have a variety of classes all based on their Reinvention Method. If you like barre classes and want to take it to the next level, this is a great option – be sure to check out their New Client package!

Additional Thoughts: If you want a heart pumping, sweat dripping workout, this wouldn’t be the best class. They do not have showers, only changing facilities so prepare accordingly. If you have never taken class, definitely get there early so the instructor can “introduce you” to the chair – this way you feel comfortable and safe during class.
